A few of the major video editing software makers are running some discount deals for this month so rather than try to post every time I get one I have lumped them all together here however thought I had better get this post up before the end of March!
So let’s start with my current fav for video editors Magix. They have released new versions of both their home video editing software and their “pro-sumer” video editor.
First up is Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 which is their consumer level program. This has been a solidly performing video software product for a few versions now and 16 is no different. It remains as one of my top two choices for this category and with a little discount action going on is great value for money. Next cab off the rank is another Magix program. Magix Video Pro X2 is their “prosumer” video editing software and if you are at the limit of your home editor’s capabilities and are not really ready to fork out a couple of thousand for a fully pro piece of software then this is well worth a look at. Corel VideoStudio has also been given a re-vamp in the latest VideoStudio Pro X3 version. New features have been added and some of the glitches with AVCHD editing that were present in the X2 version have been addressed. They too are offering a discount for March. And finally a multimedia suite from Nero. Nero MultiMedia Suite 10 is a major rewrite of the Nero product with a view to speeding up both the installation process and trimming the bloat that this had developed over the years.
