Seems the floodgates are about to open with another major video software player announcing their own standard definition to high definition up-scaling software solution. (Ok, I meant to post this earlier but…you know…)
This time it is Cyberlink who have released CyberLink PowerDVD 9’s TrueTheater Technology which seems to be similar to the announcement from ArcSoft regarding their high definition up-scaling.
As usual you can read the effusive press release here and of course it speaks of the product in the glowing terms that only a truly excellent marketing department can!
Here’s a little taste of their Shakespearean prose:

“Seeing is believing,” gushes Alice H. Chang! Well in that case get me one!

I checked the site for special system requirements like the ArcSoft product but there seem to be none and it is included in the premium version of Power DVD not as an add-on. Anyway… worth a look at least.
