Most of the main video editing software programs mentioned on this site can handle MPEG2 files just fine as it is a well matured video format for distribution as well as editing. Part of the problem using free editors for MPEGs is that there are licensing requirements and many of the free program circumvent this by using complicated methods of encoding that add to the chances of file corruption and computer crashes.

can someone tell me what video editor has .mpeg file. bcuz i made a vid with my cousins and used AVS video editor and im having touble uploading to youtube.

Go to this address and download the utility called Gspot. No I am not joking, it really is called that!
You can use it to analyse MPEG files.

can anyone tell me how to find number of gop in one mpeg file. and number of pictures in one gop. also tell me about the number of pack header in mpeg file and number of audio and video streams in one mpeg file.

is there any byte to show these all……
